Avaya IP500 VCM 64 V2 Base Card

The IP Office VCM 64 V2 base card provides 64 voice compression channels and occupies 1 slot on the IP500 chassis. It is used for VoIP calls, SIP trunks and IP-based voice networking. The actual number of channels provided is controlled by the VCM Channels licenses entered into the IP Office 500 system configuration. Not compatible with the IP412.

Avaya IP500 VCM 64 V2 Base Card specifications:

• Provides 64 voice compression channels - Used for VoIP calls
• In order to use Avaya IP telephones, Avaya IP Endpoint activations are required (sold separately; see drop down option above)
• Provides 4 RJ45 ports - Can be fitted with an optional IP500 trunk interface card that uses these ports for trunk connections (IP500 Analog Trunk 4, IP500 Universal PRI 1, IP500 Universal PRI 2)
• Maximum - 2 per IP500 control unit; 148 channel maximum using IP500 and or IP400 VCM cards

Compatibility

• IP Office 8.1 or higher - Provides all 64 VCM channels and includes no Avaya IP Endpoint licenses; Avaya IP telephones can be added by purchasing Avaya IP Endpoint licenses
• IP Office 8.0 or earlier - A future service pack will be required to recognized the IP500 VCM 32 V2; not yet compatible
